Council helps to highlight Pension Credit eligibility

Hundreds of eligible, pension age households in Rother and across East Sussex are missing out on Pension Credit.

That’s the message from Rother District Council as it joins with other local authorities across the County to highlight Pension Credit eligibility.

Pension Credit provides extra money to help with living costs for those over State Pension age and on a low income.

People can get Pension Credit even if they have other income, savings or own their own home. It is also separate from State Pension.

Claiming Pension Credit doesn’t just top up income – it could also help residents to get other benefits, including support with health and housing costs.

To check eligibility and find out more, please click the button below or call 0800 99 1234

If residents need help to complete the application form, they can contact their local Citizens Advice.
