Views wanted on anti-social behaviour protection order

Residents and businesses in Rother are being asked to give their views on a special protection order that aims to reduce anti-social behaviour.

Rother District Council currently has in place a Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) that covers issues in public spaces such as drinking alcohol, aggressive begging and rough sleeping. An Order also covers vehicles on beaches.

The PSPO runs out in February next year and the council wants to know what people think about the current rules and whether the Order needs to be updated.

Residents and businesses can give their views by completing an online questionnaire. The survey is open over the summer until the 2nd September.

The plan is to collate all views given and use them to help draft up a new Order that will be the subject of a formal consultation in the autumn.
