What can I put in my bins?

»

Important recycling information

Please be aware all cardboard will now need to be contained within your green recycling bin. No additional cardboard presented outside your bin will be collected. You can still present up to 2 carrier bags / bin liners (not black) of additional commingled recycling (excluding cardboard) by your green bin.

Our contractor has raised an operational concern regarding additional cardboard being presented for collection outside of green recycling containers. Their concern is this cardboard is often not flattened and the volume is excessive, this results in operatives spending time flattening cardboard and placing it into a container to be emptied onto the vehicle. This is also relevant as we head into wetter months, cardboard needs to be kept as dry as possible for recycling.

What can I put in my bins?

It's important that you put the correct rubbish or recycling in the right bin.
