If you have green fingers, or a little time to spare, your local ‘In Bloom’ group would love to hear from you.  They run competitions annually for the best floral displays and gardens with categories for residents, businesses, schools and communities.

‘In Bloom’ isn’t just about flowers though so if the competitions don’t appeal to you, then why not get involved in another aspect of the campaign such as recycling, conservation or litter picking?  There are many ways in which you might be able to help your local ‘In Bloom’ committee.  Perhaps you have skills in IT, design or marketing that could be put to use.

Within Rother there are 3 active ‘In Bloom’ groups; Bexhill-in-Bloom, Rye-in-Bloom and Beautiful Battle.  If you don’t live in Bexhill, Battle or Rye, then why not start a group in your community? The Britain in Bloom will provide you with some ideas and the existing ‘In Bloom’ groups would be happy to give you any help that they can.
