Q. Is there a "service level" between councillors and their constituents as to how long a councillor should take to reply to any correspondence? (29/10/2016)

A. There is no formal "service level" between Councillors and their constituents, however, as part of their role Members are expected to deal with constituents' enquiries and representations.

Corporately, the Council is committed to responding to letters and faxes within a maximum of 10 working days and I would expect Members to respond along a similar timeframe.

Ultimately, it is a matter for political Groups and Group Leaders. (31/10/2016)
