Burwash Neighbourhood Plan

 

Pre-submission Consultation (Regulation 14)

The Parish Council has now prepared its pre-submission consultation version of the Burwash Neighbourhood Plan. The formal consultation, under Regulation 14 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012, is taking place between 30 May and 18 July 2019.

Where and when the Neighbourhood Plan may be inspected

  • Electronic copies of the Plan and its Appendices can be obtained from the Burwash Neighbourhood Plan website.

  • Copies can also be requested from the Parish Clerk via email at: burwashparishclerk@gmail.com

  • Two drop in sessions will be held on Saturday 8 June at the following times and locations:
    10am - 12 noon at Burwash Common Playing Fields Pavilion
    1pm - 3pm at the Internet Café, Bear Car Park

How to make representations

  • Electronic representations can be sent by email to: info@burwashneighbourhoodplan.org

  • Written representations can be placed into collection boxes at Burwash Common Playing Fields Pavilion, Jarvis the Butchers or the Parish Council post box outside the Internet Cafe.

Closing date for representations

A period of not less than 6 weeks from the date on which the draft proposal is first publicised must be provided, during which representations can be submitted. All representations must be received Burwash Parish Council by 5pm on 18 July 2019.

Rother District Council provided a formal SEA Screening Opinion for the Burwash Neighbourhood Plan.

Designation of Burwash Parish as a Neighbourhood Area (Regulation 7)

Rother District Council confirmed that the marked area shown on the submitted map (being that of Burwash Parish) was formally designated as a Neighbourhood Area.

Application for the designation of Burwash Parish as a Neighbourhood Area (Regulation 5)

Burwash Parish Council (as the relevant body) submitted to Rother District Council an application for the designation of Burwash Parish as a Neighbourhood Area.

This application included the following:

  • A map which identifies the area to which the area application relates
     
  • A statement explaining why the area is considered appropriate to be designated as a Neighbourhood Area
     
  • A statement setting out why Burwash Parish Council is a relevant body for the purposes of section 61G of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990
