Regulation summary

A Summary of Cooling Tower Regulation has been produced by the National Archives.

Tacit consent

Tacit consent does apply to Cooling Tower Notifications.

You will be able to act as though your application is granted if you have not heard from the Local Authority by the end of the target completion period. For Rother District Council the target completion period for a Cooling Tower Notification is 28 working days from receipt of the application.

How to apply

You can notify us about a Cooling Tower in two ways:

Failed application redress

Please contact us in the first instance.

Licence holder redress

Please contact us in the first instance.

Consumer complaint

We would always advise that in the event of a complaint the first contact is made with the trader by you – preferably in the form a letter (with proof of delivery). If that has not worked Gov.uk can offer advice on Consumer Protection Rights.
