We provide a comprehensive pest control service in Bexhill, Battle, Rye, the district of Rother and surrounding areas.
Rother District council can offer a wide range of services to treat pests that can invade your home or business. We employ a fully qualified and insured pest control officer who can give free advice over the telephone upon request. If you are unsure about the type of pest you may have, an advice visit can be arranged for which there is a £24 charge. The charge can be offset against a treatment arising out of the visit.
The fee for treating rats in your home is £48. Rother residents who receive Job Seekers Allowance, Income Support or Pension Credit Guarantee will be charged £12.
We do not generally treat rats that are outside a dwelling, it is far better to remove the food sources that are attracting the rats, namely bird feed or compost heaps. Cutting back vegetation will also deter rats from around a property. However, if you still want a Pest Control Officer to visit and give advice, you can request this, although we do charge for this service
Payment is required prior to a visit taking place. You can pay by credit or debit cards (2% surcharge for credit cards). Payments are taken at the time of booking an appointment.

What you can expect
Once we have received your request the pest control officer will contact you as soon as he can. He will discuss your requirements and advise on the best course of action. You may be asked to do some work before treatment begins, for example not feeding the birds or any other wildlife. The officer will make an appointment with you to conduct the treatment. We prefer that you are present at the treatment but it is not always necessary. Safety literature may be left so you know what products have been used and where they are located. Other than insects most pest treatments will need two visits. When the treatment is over we will collect any equipment and unused product.
Please read our Pest Control terms and conditions [80kb].

We do not provide a service for the removal of bees. However local bee keepers are often willing to collect a swarm. Please see our Advice on Bees page for more information.
